Stp. Clingendael
Bpt. 240 Wn. 318 Badhuisweg, St Fl 246
This bunker can be found at the Badhuisweg, near the crossing with the Pompstationweg.
The bunker was covered and hard to find because of all the vegetation, but now (April 2007) its open and easy to find because they are building a house, about 300m2, on top of the bunker.
During war time the bunker was used as ammunition bunker in the Stutzpunkt Clingendael, Verteidigungsstab Stp. Gr. Scheveningen in a complex of several other bunkers:
646 water storage, 645 kitchen, 2x622 personnel, 608 batt. HQ.
After the war the Dutch Army Intelligence Service has used the bunker and made several changes inside and place modern equipment to stay inside for 14 days during a atomic attack.
Around 2003 the Army sold the property and the new owner started the procedures the build a house. The bunker is in 1997 place on the list of protected object in Den Haag.
At the pictures sheet New you can see some Art inside the bunker. This art is from after the war because it is a Dutch flag and the Germans didn't made those! The art is probably made by a scouting group or Navy personnel that was stationed inside the bunker.
